Martyn Saunders

Martyn is the vicar of Pip n Jim's - other people might call him the pastor, or minister - whatever the title, it means that he has the priviledge of being set aside fulltime to lead the church here.   Before training for the ordained ministry, Martyn was a chemical engineer. He trained for ordination at Wycliffe Hall, part of Oxford University and was ordained in 1998. He started his ordained ministry as a Curate at St Boniface church in Birmingham, and in 2002 the family moved to Islington where he was the Team Vicar in the Barnsbury team with special responsibility for All Saints', Caledonian Road, Islington, in the Diocese of London. Martyn and his family moved to Kent in 2010 to become vicar of Pip n Jim's. Martyn is married to Janette and they have three boys all primary age and below.
