Children's and Youth Activities

We have a wide and varied programme of activities for children and young people. All groups, with the exception of LINK meet on a Sunday morning, during the 10am service. We are fortunate to have a large number of volunteers to run our children's programme, all of whom hold an Enhanced disclosure from the Criminal Records Bureau. Our PCC have formally adopted the Rochester Diocesan Child Protection Policy. All the groups return to the main church before the end of the service.

The groups currently on offer are:

Creche, age 0-2 or 3

We have a supervised creche with plenty of toys for our youngest visitors and members. Adults are welcome to stay or leave their children to have fun. Once children are happy to sit and listen, and do some craft, then they move up to:

Sonshine Kids, age 3 - 5 (pre-school)

Sonshine Kids meet in the lounge and use the Tiddlywinks material from Scripture Union. Fantastic fun for under 5s happens here - story, craft, games, colouring - all following the theme of the week.

Lower PJ Gang, age 5 - 8 (yr1 - yr3)

Lower PJ Gang meet in the church hall and use Splash! Lower PJ Gang is a fun and exciting group for those in the Key Stage one to be involved in.

Upper PJ Gang meet in the church hall too and use X-Stream! Some of the games are shared with lower PJ gang, but there's focussed teaching and activity too for this group. There is plenty of discussion, games and fun getting to grips with the Bible together.

Pathfinders, age 11 - 14 (yr7 - yr9)

Pathfinders meet at Robin and Jane's house, 28 Meadow Close, and use the Youthwork Magazine resources. There's lots of fun, silly games, brain stretching activities and occasionally serious discussion.

Link currently meets on Monday evenings for bible study and discussion, and on Friday evenings for fun and laughs - once a month that's in the church hall and joint with the Pathfinders for table tennis, wii racing, table football and crazy soft drinks -usually involving ice cream or marshmallows.
