Sunday services
Sunday mornings at 10.00 a.m.
Every week at 10.00 a.m., Pip n Jim's gathers as a church for our main service of the week. With weekly attendance usually somewhere around 180 you can expect to find people of all ages - young and old with all sorts of circumstances. Children's work is also available each week for those aged 0 to 15.
- First and third Sundays of the month are normally 'Morning Praise'
- Second and fourth Sundays of the month are often 'Holy Communion'
Sunday evenings at 6.30 p.m.
Every week at 6.30 p.m., Pip n Jim's gathers as a church week by week for a variety of service styles and interests. Usually a smaller congregation than our morning services, there's something to suit all tastes. Special services include:
- Second Sunday of the month - Café Church
- LAST Sunday of the month - Songs of Praise at 4.00 p.m.
- also LAST Sunday of the month - Service of healing 6:30pm
- 4th Sunday on a 5 Sunday month (so next Jan 22 and April 22) - Taize style at 6:30pm
Café Church
Once a month, Café Church does church with a difference. Café Church has a mixed age congregation that takes its lead from coffee-shop culture. Café Church involves sitting at tables rather than in rows and the service includes quizzes, movie clips, discussions about real life issues, prayer stations and time for chatting over coffee, as well as the best of all that you might usually expect from a church service.
Songs of Praise
Once a month, Songs of Praise breaks the pattern of our usual evening services by meeting at 4.00 p.m. Aimed at our more mature members, Songs of Praise has a more traditional feel and is based around the hymn and song choices of those who come along. The service lasts for around 40 minutes and is then followed by a tea in the Church Hall with sandwiches and cakes!
Healing Service
Join us for a service focussed on thinking about praying for healing from God. Putting into practice the Lords' prayer "your kingdom come.... on earth as it is in heaven". Everyone welcome especially those seeking healing of whatever form. 6:30pm last Sunday of each month. |
