About
Join us in Rebuilding with Refugees
Would you like to find out more about how we as Christians and those from an increasingly diverse worldwide community are responding together to integrate and work with those from other cultures to settle!?
Do join us on Saturday 26th October 2019 to find out more, enjoy good food, maybe learn new skills, and be inspired by the stories of what really walking together and loving our neighbours can look like in lighting up all our lives.
The day is free to attend, open to all, including families, and will include a free international buffet ‘street-food’ style lunch and afternoon learning/crafting and discussion workshops and exhibitors such as the Kent Refugee Action Network, Refugee Art Trail, Sat-7 and The Worldwide Tribe.
Speakers include Samara Levy of Samara’s Aid, Abdul Alzoukani, Syrian husband, father and inspiring community speaker, Domenica Pecoraro, Refugee Officer in the Diocese of Canterbury, Rob Lawrie, controversial ex soldier and crime of compassion refugee advocate, and Mez O’Hara Eritrean refugee about almost becoming a child soldier before a traumatic journey across desert, the Mediterranean, surviving the Calais jungle, crossing the Eurotunnel and finally finding a new chapter with the O’Hara family in Kent.
Please book on this page. If you would like to donate towards the costs of the day then click here.
