Vicar: Martyn Saunders

Martyn Saunders

Martyn is the vicar of Pip & Jim's which means that he has the amazing privilege of being set aside fulltime to lead the church and serve all those who live in our local community. He is passionate to see the Kingdom of God come on (this bit of the) earth as it is in heaven, and his prayer and action is focussed on encouraging the Church to grow deeper in their relationship with God, and helping people to know about and respond to the amazing message of the good news of God's love for us.

Martyn moved to Pip & Jim's in 2010, having previous led a Church near Kings Cross in London. He is married to Janette and they have three sons who are all still at school.

Richard ReadRichard has been the part-time children’s and families' worker Pip & Jim’s since April 2015, and wants to see the church jammed packed with boys and girls who have come to know Jesus as their Lord and Saviour! It all started in 1991 when God called Richard into ministry, initially as a volunteer, and then leader of the ‘Sunday School’. He left his job with HM Customs & Excise in 1997 to work part-time for Children Worldwide, before going into full-time ministry with Kidz Klub, Liverpool, in September 2001.
