Safeguarding

At St Philip and St James church we are committed to Safeguarding Children, Young People, Victims/perpetrators of Domestic Abuse and Vulnerable Adults.
Our PCC has adopted the Church of England’s policies and best practice on safeguarding which may be found on the Church of England’s website   Each year the PCC re-commits itself to following the  House of Bishops’ “Promoting a Safer Church; safeguarding policy statement” which can be found online and a physical copy is in the church office. That statement of commitment can be found here.  We have also adopted a policy on how we respond to domestic abuse.

A Prayer:
Loving God, we pray that this church may be a place of welcome, security and compassion.
Keep us watchful yet caring, trusting yet ready to question,
