Annual Service of Remembering
Sunday November 21st 2021 at 3pm
You are welcome to join us on line this year for our annual service of remembering and giving thanks for people who lived locally or are dear to us and yet who have died recently. This year has been really hard for those needing to attend funerals. The restrictions on numbers and challenges around meeting afterwards means there is yet more pain, more despair, and less closure in these months than we often find at the time of a funeral.
The service will be live both in person and online at 3pm on Sunday 21st November 2021.
If you know that you are coming then click here to book seats. We will put the right number of chairs out close together for you and your group to occupy in the church.
The video will stream live here (come back nearer the time for the link), but you will be able to come back and view it again later. This is a partnership with Medway Funeral Directors and everyone is welcome to be part of the service - whether or not you asked for the church to be involved at the time of your loved one's funeral.
In past years we have sung some hymns, listened to a reading from the bible, reflected on the comfort that God offers us, prayed for that comfort and taken time to light a candle as we read out the name of each person that we have taken a funeral for in the previous year and other people on request.
If you want to be sure that we will read out the name of a particular person then please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
or contact Medway Funeral Directors direct.
